Thread of the week

The winners of The Residency’s design-a-thon have been announced:

I have been following ‘The Residency’ for a few months. Seeing that they were hosting a competition, I decided to participate to share my educational journey in singapore while promoting Continuum.

You can read my submission here (I love to hear your thoughts on thread too, simply reply to the thread):

Even though I didn't snag the win, I'm still happy I took part in the competition. The thread got over than 780 views with 64 interactions, which gave me the boost I needed to keep putting out content. Right now, I'm putting together a plan for my newsletter and social media accounts. Plus, I'm on the hunt for some tools on Product Hunt to continue growing my personal brand.

Fresh news on Web3

It’s this the end of web3?

High-profile companies such as Meta (formerly Facebook) is removing NFTs from their platforms. The decision by Meta to remove NFTs from Instagram and Facebook comes at a time when the space is facing scrutiny from users and regulators. Additionally, Google Trends for web3 have shown a decrease in interest in NFTs, might suggest that the technology is losing its shine.

Furthermore, other companies in the tech industry have been rebranded or dropping the technology all together, citing scalability issues and an inability to hit revenue targets. I have been reading articles on this issue, watching on the sidelines to see if investors are still placing bets at web3 startups. Despite this, Opensea released Opensea Pro recently, a NFT Marketplace Aggregator that will allow individuals to find the best deals and insights across 100 different NFT marketplaces.

I am definitely hope the market gets better (hopefully soon) and discover more startups that are embracing the technology to make consumers lives better, I also think that web3 and AI hype is very similar and its all about how a product actually deliver tangible value.

What are your thoughts on the current market situation? Let me know by replying back to this email.
