A New Chapter: Building an AI Travel App for Gen-Z Travelers

Travel that plans itself, matches you with chill people, and fits your schedule.

Good morning friends!

If you know of a friend who could benefit from reading this newsletter, please share it with them. Referrals go a long way—thank you!

I’ve been wanting to write a new issue for this newsletter for awhile now, and today finally felt like the right moment — because I’m building something new, something I’ve never been this excited about.

You can read my last issue by clicking the button below:

Here’s what I am building right now - It’s called Roamie.

Roamie is a people-first travel app for Gen Z and Gen Alpha. It helps young travellers discover where they can actually go based on:

  • their income

  • their savings

  • their PTO/annual leave

  • their schedules

  • and most importantly — their vibe

We’re building an AI that helps you find compatible travellers, suggests trip ideas that fit your life, and eventually automates the entire planning process so you can just show up.

Why I’m building this

I’ve met so many people: friends, travellers, coworkers — who want to travel but struggle with:

  • never having the same schedule as their friends

  • not knowing if they can afford a trip

  • not knowing when to travel

  • feeling overwhelmed with planning

  • not having anyone to go with

I feel all of those things too.
That’s why Roamie exists.

What I’m asking for

Article I posted recently - What I Have Been Learning These Past Few Months

These past few months have been some of the most eye opening and demanding of my career. My main job as a business developer has been really challenging with the current market sentiment being tough, opportunities are real tight, and competition feels sharper than ever. Yet, amid this uncertainty, I’ve been wanting to evolve, adapt, and grow faster than how I am before.

I’ve learned three key lessons in these last few months that have helped me stay focused and optimistic:

  1. Exploring other AI tools beyond ChatGPT.

  2. Becoming more consistent with video content creation.

  3. Constantly improving myself because the market doesn’t wait.

Each of these has shaped how I approach work, creativity, and personal development. I dive deeper into them in the full article below:
